Seasonal and Topical Drabble Thingy
It’s been a bit of a strange week, but I really will start doing these myself soon...

On March 17th 2001, the Eden Project opened. Other news, not so positive, so we'll leave that as our sole historical prompt.

So this week’s prompts are:

Mothers Day

Garden of Eden

Good News

As usual, don’t wait for me - if you’re inspired, go for it!

Post your drabble as a comment to this post, and if you have any ideas for future seasonal prompts, let me know by PM. I may also use the occasional completely random prompt if something occurs to me.

The rules are minimal - One hundred words exactly, and be polite when commenting!
You can write any fandom or original fiction, any pairing or none.
You don’t have to write in English if you don’t want to.

Please note that if you do choose to write in another language, I can't promise to comment beyond a simple "Thank You", although I will do my best via Google! A rough translation would be lovely, but is not essential. The translation does not have to be 100 words, nor does it need to be polished or “good English”. Just the gist is fine, to put across the idea.

And don’t forget, as long as you are confident that your response meets one of the prompts, that’s good enough for me.

Garden of Eden (Life on Mars, Sam/Gene)

Sam had never given much credence to all that Bible stuff. Growing up in a succession of cheap rented houses, on the run from the rent man each time his Dad didn’t come home, hadn’t exactly left him with a great feeling that Someone Up There was looking after him.

But now he was settled in 1973, it felt like he was living in the Garden of Eden. He had Annie to be his Eve if he wanted; he had a life outside work, a new flat, peace of mind and of spirit.

But oh, the temptation that was Gene.

Sam, just remember what giving into temptation will lead to!

Good News (Daniel Appleton, Sex Traffic)

Daniel picked up his post and peered short-sightedly at the envelopes. The first brown envelope he discarded until he could find his glasses and read just how much he owed the electric company.

The second envelope was franked “Browns College”, which meant the possibility of an interview, or just as likely another rejection.

The last envelope bore a Moldovan stamp and he ripped the envelope open. A photograph fell out, showing a young mother, a small boy and an elderly lady, all smiling broadly. Daniel smiled back at them. Even without reading the letter he could tell Elena was happy.
