You know, I really quite like Google...|
As in, I marvel every day at how it can search the internet more quickly than Windows can search my computer. And the things I've learnt by following google hits - well, I wouldn't know where to begin listing them.
But the point of this post is to say that, while I always enjoy the little pictures they put up for the Google logo, today's one is BRILLIANT. A little PLAYABLE GUITAR! And it sounds better than anything I've ever got out of a real one, not that that's saying much.
OK, as you were. Just wanted to share.
That Google guitar is brilliant. Thank you for sharing.
I may have spent entirely too much time this morning making up little tunes...
Google is one of the great pleasures/tools of the internet and I adore it always. That, amazon.com, wikipedia, and now livejournal, have enriched my life so much!
My children take it so much for granted. Of course, when I try to explain why I think it's so totally awesome, they just think I'm talking about the Dark Ages.
Seconding your list there, and I'd add YouTube. Not only has it introduced me to new bands, but it's been totally wonderful looking back at bands I used to love years ago. They even have the advert from thirty years ago that my OH was in. (Wouldn't you think that kids, being shown Dad on telly from twenty years before YouTube was even invented, would be impressed that the footage still existed? (I was!) Nah. All I got was "Oh, right.")
On the plus side, they completely take it for granted that if they're having trouble with a new move in their jiu-jitsu class, they can come home and watch a video tutorial of it. Definitely up there in the Seven Wonders of the Internet. Ooh, sounds like a meme...
Am aiming to play the Bagpuss theme tune on it...
I had to look it up, but good luck with that. My musical ear is limited but it sounded to me like it had seventeen sharps. (Mind you, I don't even know what notes we've got here, except I'm fairly sure the yellow one (QAZ) is 'C' and there are no sharps, purely from the fact that I can play The First Noël (starts on EDC) and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star *iz showing off now*
How did you get on with Band of Brothers - is it worth it? I still have the Charlie Crews thing (buggered if I can remember the title atm) in my amazon save-for-later basket, so any recommendations as to where to start with Mr L's work would be welcome.
haha I am not musical in the slightest, it was just the sound it made reminded me of that!
haven't started BoB yet, but Life is amazing, so I can definitely recommend that. Have you seen The Baker? Cos, you know, assassin!Damian...
OK, I'll buy Life next time I'm ordering something else - I'm quite looking forward to it, but I am so not a viewer. For example I'm loving The Shadow Line, but I've been sitting here at the computer rather than catching up on last week's episode, so I'm still a week behind everyone else there. So no, I haven't seen The Baker, but the idea of assassin!Damian does have a certain frisson about it...
oh, The Baker's awesome, I love it. It immediately became one of my favourite films haha. (it's a comedy)
also, parts are epically gay XD

I saw! Switched the keyboard function on and was having so much fun with it. Genius idea. :)
I loved it - I just thought it was totally brilliant. Every time I googled something I had to play a tune first. I want one for always.
